How to launch a delivery round - fast!

Whether you're a brand new business or already established, launching online can be daunting. We've got a couple of simple tactics to get you up and running, while managing and monitoring your growth. These tactics are equally applicable to a new area, if you want to expand your geographical reach.
Get your own domain name
Pekkish allows you to add a custom domain name, so you can remain in control of your own branding. If you don't already have a website, you can simply point www.yourshop.co.uk at Pekkish and you're up and running. If you already have a website and wish to keep it, you can create your ordering site as a new subdomain, like order.yourshop.co.uk and link the two.
Having your own domain name is more than just pretty, it's control. It's far more powerful to tell your customers than relying on something like "You can find us on Deliveroo". If you're sending people to Deliveroo, they're Deliveroo's customers, not yours.
Tell everyone, everywhere!
Once you've got your domain name established, write it down. On everything! Your vans, obviously, but also napkins, polo-shirts, your shop window and so on. Your website isn't just for ordering, it shows your customers (and potential customers) where you are, your opening hours and gives them a flavour of your business.
Go old school with flyers
While it's tempting to assume that online ordering requires online advertising, the fastest way to reach your customers is probably the humble flyer. Our advice would be to create a flyer with a clear offer for first-time customers, such as -

£5 off for the first 500 customers
It's a genuinely good offer and people will take advantage of it. The limit of 500 people (or whatever number you want) both limits your exposure and creates additional interest due to the scarcity. Pekkish allows you to create a Voucher to do this, with tracking and limits that you can control.
Go around your target area and drop flyers into every office you can find!
In our experience, this represents the fastest and most cost effective way of gaining new customers initially. Not everyone will re-order but lots will and you can monitor the success of your promotion through your dashboard on Pekkish.
Keep the ball rolling
Once you've got your first group of customers onboard, you'll need a way to stimulate ongoing growth. The best way to encourage this is by using the 'Recommend-a-friend' feature. A small reward of £1 or £2 for the referrer and optionally referee too will be enough to incentivise your existing customer base to grow the business for you, leading to a steady drip feed of new customers.
